About Holosbiblion
Welcome to the Holosbiblion journey
Holosbiblion™ is a living sacred-library, publishing and reading project. It begins with the Bible many readers already know and opens a careful path into the wider writings preserved around it.
Across Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox and Ethiopian traditions, Christian communities have not always inherited an identical table of contents. Works such as Enoch, Jubilees, Jasher and the Apocrypha have therefore remained familiar to some readers and almost unknown to others. Holosbiblion creates a place where these writings can be encountered together, read in context and discussed with respect.
Why this work exists
Most people meet Scripture through one inherited collection. That inheritance deserves respect, but it does not have to mark the end of the reader’s questions. Holosbiblion exists to make the wider biblical library easier to approach—not by erasing the differences between traditions or pressuring every reader toward one conclusion, but by gathering the works, arranging them along a chronological reading path, and documenting the sources and editorial decisions behind the editions.
For us, the work begins in reverence for God and Scripture. For every visitor, it begins with a simple invitation: start with what is familiar, encounter what is new, compare carefully, ask honest questions and follow the evidence at your own pace.
The journey so far
Our current research catalogue identifies 216 distinct works connected to the wider biblical library. Of these, 170 works are confirmed for the expanding Holosbiblion flagship publication programme, while 130 books have already been translated and compiled into the First Edition available today.
These figures describe different stages of a continuing publishing programme. They are not a claim that every church or reader must recognise one universal 216-book canon. The current First Edition represents work already completed; the wider catalogue shows the research, translation and publication road still ahead.
The First Edition
The flagship First Edition brings 130 biblical and related sacred books into one continuous chronological reading line. The familiar canon appears alongside Enoch, Jubilees, Jasher and the Apocrypha so that events, eras and literary relationships can be followed across works that are usually kept on separate shelves.
The edition uses an original Cinematic Narrative Translation intended to preserve meaning while making the reading experience clear, modern and engaging. Its chronological placement is an editorial reading architecture, not a claim that every date or sequence is beyond scholarly discussion.
A community, not only a catalogue
Holosbiblion is being built for lifelong Bible readers, new explorers, pastors, scholars, researchers, translators, collectors, students of African Christian heritage, readers of the wider canon and anyone willing to approach the library with curiosity and care.
The Holosbiblion Reader Circle carries the project beyond any single product. Readers can follow publication progress, explore questions through the public archives, submit observations or corrections, and take part in the continuing conversation. You do not have to purchase an edition before you belong.
How we work
Holosbiblion distinguishes the ancient and public-domain witnesses from the work original to this publication: its translation, arrangement, compilation, formatting and editorial apparatus. The Companion Source Record exists to document the witnesses, provenance and source basis supporting the publication programme.
We do not ask readers to trust a hidden process. We aim to show what was used, where it came from, what is original to Holosbiblion and what remains under continued review.
Canonicity and independence
Including a work in a Holosbiblion reading sequence does not constitute a universal ecclesiastical ruling on canonicity, authenticity or doctrinal authority. Holosbiblion is an independent publishing programme and does not speak for any church or denomination. It makes room for serious reading across traditions while acknowledging that those traditions differ.
